Elise Gravel is known for her vibrant illustrations, and their positive messages about friendship, creativity, empathy, and tolerance.
Do you ever get discouraged and need to remind yourself of the good things in life? One brilliant illustration can change your mood instantly and help stay focused and motivated for a long time.
Elise Gravel is a Canadian author and illustrator, living with her family in Montreal. She studied graphic design at CEGEP and began her career as an illustrator after creating a series of posters for imaginary clients.
She has written and illustrated over 30 books, including Olga and the Smelly Thing from Nowhere, The Bug Club, and Killer Underwear Invasion! She has won numerous awards for her work, including the Governor General’s Literary Award in the illustration category.
I’ve picked a few illustrations that are related to reading and learning, but you should subscribe to her blog and follow on Instagram for beautiful and witty diversity, tolerance, environment, and empathy.
Gravel’s work is both playful and thought-provoking, and it can be a great source of inspiration for both children and adults.
