Ammaar Reshi’s Alice and Sparkle is the most famous book created with AI tools. It’s currently among the top 10 bestsellers in the Children’s Computers & Technology Books category.
The book provoked a discussion about artists’ role, copyright issues, and the nature of creative process.
Since Reshi shared his experience on December 9, 2022, as many as 70 other books were published on Amazon. These books have one thing in common: their human authors don’t hide they used AI tools to prepare the books.
Usually, ChatGPT is added as a co-author. ChatGPT is a natural language processing technology that’s trained to interact in a conversational way.
Another tool that’s mentioned as a creator is Midjourney, a platform that lets you create images from textual descriptions, similar to OpenAI’s DALL-E.
It’s worth mentioning that Alice and Sparkle was not the first ChatGPT co-authored book published on Amazon.
On December 4, 2022, DeFi Demystified: A Simple and Straightforward Guide to Decentralized Finance was released. The human author is Mr Nomi Itamae, and Chat GPT is listed as a contributor.

That’s more than I thought. We speak a lot about AI in visual arts, in my writing group. I bet they’ll find this interesting.
