Every June, Amazon announces a list of the Best Books of the Year So Far. It’s a fantastic way to add new titles to your summer book wishlist.

The new results have just been announced! The best book of 2023, according to Amazon editors, is Ann Napolitano’s novel Hello Beautiful. This New York Times bestseller and an Oprah’s Book Club Pick takes us on a journey of a transition from idyllic youth to the complexities of adulthood.

After being told her novel was Amazon Books’ top pick, Napolitano said:

💬 I wrote this novel because I was looking for a glimmer of hope during a difficult time, and immersing myself in the world of William and the Padavano sisters felt like a way to heal.

The other top picks include S.A. Cosby’s All the Sinners Bleed, a gripping Southern Gothic mystery set in Southern Virginia.

Jean M. Twenge’s Generations is an insightful exploration of the differences between living U.S. generations and their impact on the future.

The Eyes and the Impossible by Dave Eggers is a heartwarming middle-grade book featuring a remarkable dog and themes of friendship and community.

From hundreds of books released between January and June, Amazon editors selected the Top 20 Best Books of 2023 so far in popular categories, including literary fiction, thrillers, romance, and biographies.

The entire list of the books that were taken into consideration includes 278 titles, and you can find it here.
